The USINE project added an international dimension to Bielefeld's pre-incubation
concept. As technology-based business ideas have a high potential for economic
exploitation on the internal European and international markets, entrepreneurs admitted
to USINE pre-incubators were trained also on internationalisation aspects.
By organising train-the-trainer workshops, the Israeli partner Dimotech and Strathclyde
University assisted the three pre-incubators in setting up training measures to provide
entrepreneurs with knowledge on international aspects of entrepreneurship. The first
workshop was held in Israel from 21-25 January 2001 and the second in Scotland from
26-30 March 2001.
